I was born and raised in Toronto, studied art for ten years and worked in advertising, communication design and interior design before being ordained a priest in May of 1991 at the age of 37. I served as an Associate Pastor at St. Christopher’s in Mississauga, as Master of Ceremonies for Archbishop Ambrozic, and was Pastor of St. Justin, Martyr in Unionville and Our Lady Queen of the World Parish in Richmond Hill before being appointed to the Cathedral as Rector in 2006.
I have given many retreats and days of reflection for teachers, principals and superintendents of our Catholic schools, as well as youth groups and priests. I worked with the York Catholic District School Board School board as a consultant in a new curriculum for a religion course tailored to meet the needs of Regional Arts high school students in grade 11 and 12. I am a past Chairman of the Priest’s Seminar Committee and sat on the Church’s Council for Theological Education, the Allocations Committee of Catholic Charities, and the Archdiocesan Ecumenical Commission. I am the current Chairman of the Archdiocese Building Committee and sit on the Boards of St. Michael’s Choir School and Catholic Cemeteries.
In 2008 I was appointed as Chaplain of Ryerson University. And for the last seven years I have been committed to building up the Catholic presence on campus as well as ensuring there is spiritual support for the students in my care.
